This version of Romeo and Juliet takes places in a modern day New york city where being heterosexual is no longer the norm. The Montgomery and Captain families are both against any sexual orientation other than homosexuality and grow to hate each other when they realize romantic suspicion between their children, Richard and Jill. The production will follow these two lovers lives as they seek ways to see each other amongst the rest of population who still views any relationship between a man and woman a sin. Both characters will experience bullying at its toughest, love at its finest, and just as much tragedy as the original classic.
